Service Content

In brief: You can find information about medical services and the medical institutions that provide them on this Website. We connect patients with medical centers and assist them in obtaining services.

Our Services

This Website is a platform that provides users with information about medical services and relevant medical institutions (hereinafter referred to as “Clinics” or “Medical Centers”).
You can perform the following operations on the Website:
– Inquire about information on medical centers, medical staff, and the services they provide;
– Obtain consulting services from our coordinators regarding clinics and appointment procedures;
– Receive personalized treatment plan recommendations from cooperating clinics;
– Make an appointment to visit the selected medical center;
– Pay a deposit for the appointment you made;
– Process prepayment where available for the corresponding medical services of the clinics;
– Apply for the “Second Opinion” service.
Unithmed will not assign specific clinics or doctors to users, but only provide a list based on your needs. We will do our best to screen the best options for you based on your language, country of residence, medical needs, budget preferences, and other circumstances. In addition, we connect Unithmed users with the selected clinics, provide support during communication, assist in arranging medical visit itineraries, and continue to provide follow-up services after you return home. During your use of the Website, you will be followed up by Unithmed medical coordinators throughout the process.
Unithmed is not an agent of the clinics and does not guarantee the quality of services or professional standards of the clinics. We are not an intermediary between patients and medical centers, nor do we directly provide medical services.
We are not a licensed medical care provider, and none of our services or applications are intended to replace professional medical advice, nor to diagnose, treat, or manage any illness or medical condition.
We sign cooperation agreements directly with medical centers or carry out cooperation through our business partner, Unithmed Limited.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have obtained through our services.
If you have any questions, concerns about your health status, or changes in your condition, please be sure to consult a medical professional. If you suspect a medical emergency, please call emergency services or go to the nearest open emergency room immediately.

Deposit Payment Terms

You are required to pay a deposit to confirm your appointment to visit the medical center. The deposit amount is 200 Euros or US Dollars, depending on the currency of your location. The deposit is used to confirm that you will arrive at the medical center as scheduled. By its legal nature, the deposit is a fee for our services, but the clinic will deduct the deposit amount from the treatment cost. Therefore, seeking medical treatment through Unithmed will not cost you more than contacting the clinic directly. However, please note that the deposit is not a fee for medical services.
Medical service fees are issued and collected by each medical center in accordance with its regulations, unless otherwise stipulated in these Terms. You can pay the deposit through your personal account and third-party payment service providers. When using third-party payment services, you must comply with their terms of service and privacy notices. We are not responsible for the processing of your personal information by such third-party providers. You can apply for a refund of the deposit via email at [email protected], but the application must be submitted no later than 10 days before the appointment date. Eligible refunds will be processed within 30 days of your timely application. Late applications will not be refunded.
Please note: Visa and Mastercard holders from the Republic of Cuba, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela cannot process deposit payments or refunds.

Prepayment Options

Where supported by some services, you may additionally choose to make a full prepayment for the medical services of the clinics. After prepayment, the relevant medical service fees will be settled in advance, but the clinic may only receive the funds after fully providing the agreed medical services to you.
Please note that third-party payment service providers may be involved in collecting funds in such cases.
The refund rules stipulated in these Terms also apply to the prepayment situations mentioned above.
At the same time, Visa and Mastercard holders from the Republic of Cuba, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela cannot process prepayments or refunds.

Second Opinion

Upon your request, doctors from the clinics can provide the “Second Opinion” service through the Website.
This service includes an assessment of the patient’s past and current health status, analysis of medical history, and a diagnosis and treatment plan formulated by representatives of the clinic.
By applying for a Second Opinion, you agree to the following:
– The diagnosis provided is limited and conditional;
– A Second Opinion shall not replace a complete physical examination or an in-person consultation;
– The doctor providing the service may not have all the health information that can only be obtained through an in-person consultation;
– The absence of an in-person consultation may affect the professional’s ability to diagnose a health condition, illness, or injury.
You may submit medical materials on behalf of a third party, but you must notify Unithmed in advance via email and provide valid supporting documents to meet any of the following circumstances:
1. The third party is a member of your family;
2. You have obtained prior authorization from the third party;
3. The third party is unable to submit a request through the Website independently.
After receiving all the required information, Unithmed will provide you with a list of candidate clinics on the Website. The clinic may request us to assist in obtaining any missing information from you.
Within a few business days after receiving your complete documents, we will send you the Second Opinion via encrypted email.
